Our Team

Ty Bohannon, PA-C

Ty graduated from the OU-Tulsa School of Community Medicine in 2012. Since graduating, Ty has spent his entire career providing quality care to patients in rural communities. He strongly believes that no one should have to sacrifice care based on where they live and has dedicated his career to improving the health of rural Oklahomans. Ty and his wife Brandi reside in Eufaula, OK, where they raise their three children, Baylor, Braddock, and Baker. In his free time, Ty enjoys hunting, fishing, and watching his kids play ball. Ty is excited to continue his service of providing quality care for the people of his community as a member of the Aspire Health team.

Melinda Schuering, NP-C

Serving Checotah & Wagoner

Melinda graduated from Chamberlain University in 2020, with her Masters in Nursing. Melinda spent 6 years caring for patients as an RN at St. John’s hospital in Tulsa, OK before becoming a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has always made it a personal mission to be an intentional and compassionate caregiver and will continue to do so as a Primary Care Provider for the community she has been a part of for most of her life. Melinda, her husband, Grayson, and their son Lucas reside in Checotah, OK. Melinda is thrilled to be a part of the Aspire Health team to love the community she lives in by providing optimal healthcare service.

Ernest Maina NP-C

Serving Wagoner

Ernest graduated from South University in Savannah Georgia in 2018 with his master’s in nursing practice. He then finished his Doctoral in nursing practice from Wichita State University in 2022. Since graduating, Ernest started his career doing hospital / family / rehab medicine and later urgent care medicine. He has spent his career providing quality care to patients. Ernest spent 6 years caring for patients as an Intensive care unit / Medical surgical / Oncology RN before becoming a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He strongly believes in caring for his patients like he would like to be cared for. Ernest and his wife Amanda reside in Broken Arrow, OK, where they raise their two children, Dakota and Kenya. In his free time, Ernest enjoys hiking, reading books, watching movies, and spending time with his family. Ernest is excited to continue his service of providing quality care for the people of his community as a member of the Aspire Health team.

Jayme Myers PA-C

Serving Checotah

Jayme Myers is a Checotah native whose passion for serving others was cultivated by watching her dad practice veterinary medicine. She grew up with a first-hand account of what it meant to be a disciplined and dedicated provider in the community.

After graduating from Checotah High, Myers moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Education in Pre-Professional Kinesiology. She then moved to Oklahoma City where she received a Master’s of Health Science degree in Physician Associate Studies from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Jayme works full-time as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Northeastern State University training future PAs who will hopefully practice in rural Oklahoma one day. She enjoys keeping up her clinical skills and taking care of her hometown community at Aspire Health part-time.

Her favorite title is mom and wife and it brings her great joy to see her kids experience new things. She enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with friends in her spare time.
